Sony kicked off Cinema Con with a dive into â28 Years Laterâ directed by Danny Boyle, a sequel to â28 Days Laterâ that was released in the summer of 2003. The film will be coming to theaters this summer. It was also announced that a fourth installment â28 Years Later: The Bone Templeâ, directed by Nia DaCosta, was filled back-to-back and is slated to be released in 2026. âGOATâ, produced by Stephen Curry, is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13th, 2026. Â
The studio also debuted exclusive Spider-Verse clips and confirmed that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released on June 4th, 2027. Also, in the Spider-Man world, Tom Hollandâs fourth Spider-Man installment was announced as well. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be swinging into theaters on July 31st, 2026. Footage from the next âI Know What You Did Last Summerâ was released and the film will be in theaters on July 18th, 2025. Jumanji 3 has been greenlit as well as the live action âThe Legend of Zeldaâ. The worldwide trailer for âKarate Kid: Legendsâ was released, coming to theaters on May 30th, 2025.
Lastly, Sony Pictures announced âThe Beatles â A Four- Film Cinematic Eventâ staring Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Star, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison will be released in theaters in April of 2028. Â
Lionsgate presented an extended look at Ballerina, the next John Wick installment, coming to theaters this summer. Director Frances Lawrence confirmed that the newest Hunger Games adaptation âSunrise on the Reapingâ is currently in development and introduced the filmâs new animated logo. Ruben Fleischer presented a first look at âNow You See Me: Now You Donâtâ, the third installment of the franchise that will be released on November 14, 2025.
The adaptation of the physiological thriller âThe Housemaidâ staring Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brendan Sklenar debuted exclusive footage and is slated to be in theaters on December 25th, 2025.
 Finally, Lionsgate closed their segment with live footage from the upcoming film âHurry Up Tomorrowâ releasing on May 14th, 2025, staring Jenna Ortega and Abel Tesfaye. Along with the film sneak peak, attendees were also surprised with a live performance from The Weeknd!
The Warner Bros. segment began with Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, and Regina Hall speaking about their upcoming film titled âOne Battle After Anotherâ. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, its slated to be released later this fall. New Line Cinemaâs President and CEO Richard Brener took the stage to give a sneak peak of the upcoming âMortal Kombat IIâ and âThe Conjuring; Last Ritesâ. Brener also presented the audience with an extended look to the next Final Destination Installment, Bloodlines, which releases this summer.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Director Joseph Kosinski made an appearance to premiere the first ten minutes of âF1â starring Brad Pitt that hits theaters this summer as well.
James Gunn and Peter Safran graced the stage as they introduced the cast of the upcoming Superman film, giving attendees an exclusive sneak peak of the film.
This year at CinemaCon included the world premiere of Universal Pictures live action âHow to Train Your Dragonâ accompanied by costumes worn by Hiccup, Astrid, and statues of Toothless and Stormfly were also beautifully on display. Director/ writer Dean DeBoise, Gerald Butler, and Nico Parker were in attendance to introduce the film that will be released to the public on June 13th, 2025.
Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Director Gareth Edwards presented exclusive footage for âJurassic World: Rebirthâ coming to theaters this summer. While Universal Pictures spoke about several upcoming sequels that include âThe Bad Guys 2â, âFive Nights at Freddyâs 2â, âThe Black Phone 2â, and âM3GAN 2.0â.
Concluding the segment included Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Producer Marc Platt, and Director Jon M. Chu to debut the first exclusive trailer for âWicked: For Goodâ coming to theaters on November 26th, 2025.
Taking the stage to present a sneak peak of âAfter the Huntâ, coming to theaters with a limited release on October 10th, 2025, were Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, and Director Luca Guadagnino.
Halle Berry, Chris Hemsworth, and Director/ Writer Bart Layton were able to speak about and showcase an exclusive sneak peek of their upcoming film âCrime 101â.
Closing the panel, attendees were treated to a discussion with Director Gavin OâConnor and the cast of The Accountant 2 that included Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda.
Paramount Pictures introduced âThe Running Manâ panel which stars Glen Powell, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin. A handful of other projects were revealed that included PAW Patrol, The Dino Movie, and The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sequel are slated to be released. Attendees were able to get a sneak peak of The Naked Gun and received a special message from Rihanna for the upcoming Smurfs film. Paramount closed their panel in one of the most epic ways, with Tom Cruise honoring Director Christopher McQuarrie before he introduced the first look at the official trailer for Mission: Impossible â The Final Reckoning.
Walt Disney Studios graced attendees with an exclusive sneak peek at Freakier Friday, scheduled for release this summer. The first footage from Tron: Ares was introduced by Jared Leto and Jeff Bridges as well as Elle Fanning premiering the trailer for Predator Badlands. In true Marvel fashion, the cast of Thunderbolts* released an exclusive sneak peek for their upcoming film as well. Lastly, Zoe Saldana, with a virtual message from James Cameron, introduces the first 3D clips from Avatar: Fire and Ash which is slated to be released in theaters this December.
For my cinephiles who just canât wait, CinemaCon 2026 will be taking place on April 13th through April 16th.
